On a lighter note, I went to Barnes and Nobles today to pick up a book that I have been wanting for a while. I have a huge book list now and I'm really excited to get through them. And I just got an e-mail from B&N that said my other book, Pillowman, just came in. I saw the play at school and I was so moved and totally freaked out by it, that I bought the book. My friend who is in Texas right now also got it, so I'll have to pay for her copy until she gets back. I have been spending so much money on books lately, I really need to stop. Since I don't have a job, this is really critical. I just wish I could be a paid photographer on the collegian. Minimum wage would be great. Seriously, any money would be great. Even money per photo printed.
I went to Boston's First Night on New Years Eve for the first time and I had fun. The only bad part about the night was being hit in the head by a plastic lightsaber from some ass across the street. It also hit my friend pretty good in the head too. I think it was because of my hat that I was wearing. It's a really warm hat with sides that warm the ears and has bunny ears that come off from the start. That's pretty much a sad realization about my life. I'm either being hollered at by guys or laughed at (in this case being hit with an object). Sorry, I digress. Anyways, I took some really cool pictures of the night and I hope that the Collegian will take them for their next issues, which is suppose to be the second most important of the year. I really need to write down what happened that night just in case they want a story along with the photos. I got to see Hector on Stilts on the Commons and they were really good, and really nice when we met them. I also got to see one of my favs, Harry and the Potters. I really like their music and performances. However, their album is kind of a let down. That's why I like to hear artists live ^_~.
Tomorrow I have a long day of vegging out and going to Barnes and Nobles AGAIN to pick up my books. So, here are some of my favorite and best pictures from First Night. I hope that your New Years was fun and that you enjoy the photos.
