Write now I have 36 minutes until I get to choose my housing. I am getting a little nervous and this coffee that I got to keep me awake isn't helping because it is making me jittery. I just want to get this thing done!
I found out last night that I didn't get the assistant editor position. But I'm fine with it because they want me to continue developing my photography and I am totally up for that. I can focus more on that than other people's stuff. Maybe next year, huh ^_~.
Since this is the last full week, we really don't have any assignments, but just have to wait if anything comes up. I've just been playing with my film camera and taking photos of friends in my classes to have later. Everything is finally coming to an end that it is almost relaxing because I know what I have to do and I don't have to worry about starting another project after the one I am doing now. Just getting it done and getting out is my purpose.
I read this really interesting article by the New York Times' Assistant Managing Editor for Photography Michele McNally of her answering readers questions on photography. It is a good read into the work of someone in charge of one of the most influential papers in the world. She gives a lot of good answers and tips to people who want to be professional photographers.
Otherwise, nothing else really big is happening. Spring is in full bloom and the fragrances from the trees are just wonderful.
Ciao!
