EMTs at the Hockey game

Fire Drills

School is going well. I had my first Art History quiz and once again I believe I dominated. It just clicks with me I guess. We've also had freakish weather of late. For example right now, the sun was setting, the sky was aglow with pink, yellow, and blue and suddenly out of nowhere, a snow flurry passes through! We've also had some really bad flooding and storms that knocked branches off trees.

There is also going to be a protest by the Republican club on Thursday in reaction to some posters displayed by the Radical Student Union of safe sex. Should get interesting, especially since it was between two men and there is a good chance that there will be counter protests by the gay community on campus.
Another side project that I am working on is taking photographs of graffiti on campus as well as tattoos and piercings. I like the idea of this permanent art (although the graffiti has a higher chance of being covered over) and how most of it doesn't have the artist's signature next to it. I also want to explore the meaning of graffiti and if it can be used by both the owners of the property or just by strangers. And also if it just has to be images or words. I'm really excited about how it will come out. I'm going to use some of the photos I have taken so far for one of my art projects. I want to see what other people think and hopefully recruit some people from class to get photos of their tattoos and piercings.

This is in the girls bathroom and was hard to make sure the flash didn't take away from the work.

I think this one is cute

There are other giraffes in this building. I really don't know why...

I believe this one is based on graffiti art by Banksy. I had to crawl under a table to get this shot because the table was too heavy to move.

Graffiti or lawful message?

That's just a sample of what I have so far. I've seen some other graffiti around campus that I want to shoot. Hopefully one day it will be an interesting gallery exhibit. I guess we'll see how far it goes.
Thanks for reading!!
